Global network Nexia International explores business expansion in collaboration with IT Park Uzbekistan

Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Makhliyo Muksinova, Services Export Development Director, held a meeting with Matthew Howell, CEO of Nexia International, who visited Central Asia for the first time. The meeting was also attended by Azizbek Akhmedov, Managing Partner of Nexia Uzbekistan. The parties discussed potential areas of collaboration, including Nexia’s engagement within the IT Park ecosystem and the development of joint initiatives in the fields of consulting and IT business support.

Nexia International is a global network of independent audit and consulting firms established in 1991 and headquartered in London. The network unites over 20,000 professionals across 120 countries and ranks among the world’s ten largest international associations. Member firms of Nexia provide a broad range of services, including auditing, accounting, taxation, business consulting, and legal advisory, combining deep local expertise with a comprehensive global presence.

During the meeting, the parties explored avenues for consulting support of IT companies, international tax planning, and opportunities for the local office to provide services to Nexia International’s global clientele. They also discussed potential joint projects within the IT Park ecosystem, such as expert sessions and practical assistance for companies expanding into foreign markets.

On October 9, Tashkent hosted the Nexia Caucasus & Central Asian Firms Conference, where IT Park Uzbekistan presented its ecosystem and key initiatives. The panel discussion featured Matthew Howell (CEO, Nexia International), Elyor Maksudov (Startup and Investment Development Director, IT Park Uzbekistan), and Alijon Ravshanov (Partner, Sturgeon Capital). The discussion focused on three central themes: opportunities in Uzbekistan, challenges for foreign investors, and future prospects for the region.

Elyor Maksudov, Startup and Investment Development Director of IT Park Uzbekistan, outlined the mechanisms supporting startups and IT service exports. He presented information on tax incentives for member companies, acceleration and investment attraction programs, and opportunities for international partners to launch pilot projects and expand into global markets through the IT Park platform.

The strengthening of cooperation with Nexia International grants IT Park Uzbekistan access to world-class expertise in auditing, taxation, and consulting, while enhancing support for the export of IT outsourcing services and enabling members to enter international markets more efficiently and securely. This partnership further enhances Uzbekistan’s investment appeal and reinforces IT Park’s role as a regional hub for innovation and technological entrepreneurship.
