A meeting took place in Tashkent between a delegation from the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), comprising representatives from 10 Korean IT companies, and members of IT Park Uzbekistan. The purpose of this visit was to explore Uzbekistan as a burgeoning IT hub and to identify new avenues for collaboration in the outsourcing sector.

The Korean delegation included representatives from companies such as ARASOFT, Delivered Korea, ECOPEACE, MDA, ONESOFTDIGM, REPUTER, SPHERE AX, WINITECH, LIGHT VISION, and CHOROK SOFT.

During the meeting, the participants were introduced to support programs that IT Park Uzbekistan extends to its members, which enable companies to allocate their resources towards scaling up operations, positioning Uzbekistan as one of the most attractive destinations for outsourcing and expansion into international markets.

The NIPA delegation commended Uzbekistan’s strategic geographic location, which provides significant opportunities for market expansion, along with the country’s advantageous time zone that optimizes collaboration with international partners. The Korean companies also highlighted the youthful talent pool in Uzbekistan, which enables the effective recruitment and deployment of human resources for outsourcing projects. These discussions afforded participants the opportunity to explore prospective partnerships in areas such as outsourcing and the provision of IT services to the Korean market. IT Park members presented their project portfolios and competencies, paving the way for long-term collaborations.

As a result of the meetings, IT Park Uzbekistan member — Realsoft signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korean company SPHERE AX. The close cooperation between the IT sectors of both countries is expected to foster the creation of numerous employment opportunities for local professionals in Uzbekistan, positively impacting the quality of life across the country.
