Technology and Artificial Intelligence: A Key to Europe-Central Asia Partnership

Tashkent hosted the European Union — Central Asia Think Tank Forum titled "The Tashkent Platform: Building Bridges between Europe and Central Asia", organized by the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA). The event served as a pivotal platform for expert discussions and the formulation of practical recommendations aimed at enhancing cooperation between the European Union and Central Asian countries.

Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, participated in the panel discussion "Technology and Artificial Intelligence: Unlocking the Potential of Digital Cooperation between the EU and Central Asia". The session focused on the prospects of utilizing AI and digital technologies to advance digital infrastructure, enhance public administration, and drive economic growth. Particular emphasis was placed on IT service exports, collaboration in artificial intelligence, and technological exchange.

    Key Areas of Discussion

🔹 IT services as a catalyst for economic growth — Advancing outsourcing and IT products created in Central Asia for the European market.
🔹 Joint research and technology transfer — Strengthening bilateral cooperation in software development, data analytics, and cloud computing solutions.
🔹 Harmonization of digital regulations — Adapting international standards to facilitate the expansion of IT companies into global markets.
🔹 Support for startups and investment facilitation — Establishing joint acceleration programs to attract European investment into the region's IT sector.

Abdulahad Kuchkarov underscored Uzbekistan’s emergence as Central Asia’s leading IT hub, offering favorable conditions for international IT companies and export-oriented developers.
