Russian companies establish offices and launch projects in collaboration with IT Park Uzbekistan

Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Head of the Office of Prospective Projects Azamat Rakhmon-zoda, held a meeting with a delegation from the Russian gaming industry. The delegation comprised Vasiliy Ovchinnikov, CEO of the Video Game Industry Development Organization; Vladimir Varenik, COO of the IFSI Fund and Managing Partner of IndieGO Start; and Alexander Bodrov, Deputy CEO of VIDO and Industry Advisor at the Moscow Agency for Creative Industries. Following the discussions, the parties agreed to advance educational programs in game development, support independent projects, and launch a joint accelerator for PC game developers.

The delegation also met with local game studios East Games and Evegoplayon. Valentin Tsaranov, CEO of Evegoplayon, and Akmal Salikhov, Business Development Director of East Games, shared their expertise and discussed potential directions for the development of the indie gaming sector in Uzbekistan. Mr. Tsaranov emphasized the significance of educational initiatives and highlighted his company’s successful track record in advancing 2D and 3D design capabilities within the country.

The Video Game Industry Development Organization, IndieGO Start Fund, and Game-Hub Moscow are prominent players in the Russian gaming market, supporting independent developers, educational initiatives, and international collaborations. Their activities focus on fostering the startup ecosystem in the gaming industry, attracting investment, and promoting local projects to global markets.

During the meeting, the parties deliberated on the development of game development education, identifying Art, 2D/3D Graphics, and Game Design as priority areas. Particular emphasis was placed on supporting indie PC development projects and exploring the establishment of a dedicated accelerator. Vladimir Varenik, Managing Partner of IndieGO Start, expressed the organization’s readiness to support local developers with expertise, experience, and guidance in bringing their projects to international markets.

As part of their visit, the Russian delegation toured several IT Park resident companies:

DIP Animation Studio — specializing in animation and visual effects for international markets, with over ten years of experience and successful collaborations with global partners. The studio aims to deliver high-quality projects in advertising, music videos, and animated series that meet international standards.

United Soft — founded in 2011 by leading Uzbek specialists, it is among the region’s premier studios for animation and visual effects, executing both domestic and international projects.

Art Craft — a design agency engaged in product design, web development, and marketing support, providing services to major clients including Coca-Cola and PayMe.

Tasnif Group — a full-service digital agency delivering solutions ranging from graphic design and branding to web applications, animated films, and film production. The agency has executed projects for clients such as AgroBank, Magnit Cosmetics, and the Uzbekistan Superleague.

Vasiliy Ovchinnikov, CEO of the Video Game Industry Development Organization, underscored the favorable conditions established in Uzbekistan for game development and noted that these conditions were decisive in the decision to establish operations in the country.

Collaboration with Russian companies in the gaming industry is expected to enable IT Park Uzbekistan to enhance its educational programs, establish an accelerator for indie developers, expand international partnerships, and strengthen Uzbekistan’s position as a leading regional hub for game development in Central Asia.
