IT Park Uzbekistan Delegation Strengthens Ties with Diaspora and Tech Community in the U.S.

During its visit to the United States, the IT Park Uzbekistan delegation held a series of meetings with representatives of the technology and investment ecosystem, as well as with the Uzbek diaspora and IT community.

As part of the visit, the delegation met with key players in the U.S. tech and investment landscape, including companies such as Spherion, Effectiff, VentureSpan, Venture University, Talos Capital, Cornell Tech, RepStack, and Elpis Labs.

One of the key topics discussed was strengthening the venture ecosystem. In particular, in discussions with Venture University, the parties explored launching accelerator programs for investors, including venture funds and angel investors.

With Cornell Tech, the delegation reviewed approaches to expanding innovation hubs and entrepreneurship education, including programs for PhD students.

In addition, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan took part in a roundtable with Elpis Labs, Empire, and NY Tech Alliance, where mechanisms for growing tech communities and fostering international partnerships were discussed.

Particular focus was placed on future initiatives, including the potential organization of the Uzbek Startup Summit NYC 2026, which could bring together tech leaders, startups, investors, and members of the diaspora to build a sustainable professional community.

Interest in cooperation with Uzbekistan was also confirmed by RepStack and Effectiff, which are considering entering the Uzbek market and engaging with the IT Park Uzbekistan ecosystem.

During an open discussion session, participants presented their projects and exchanged experiences. Particular interest was shown in initiatives supporting startups founded by Uzbek nationals, including assistance with fundraising and international market entry.

The IT Park Uzbekistan delegation also held a meeting with representatives of the Uzbek diaspora and the U.S. tech community. The event took place at Silkroad Innovation Hub and brought together more than 50 participants, including entrepreneurs, IT specialists, and diaspora leaders from Silicon Valley and other tech centers.

The main goal of the meeting was to strengthen ties with compatriots abroad and expand international cooperation in the IT sector.

Speakers included Abdulahad Kuchkarov, Advisor to the CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, and Asset Abdualiev. They emphasized the important role of the diaspora in promoting Uzbekistan as an emerging IT hub and its potential contribution to the development of the country’s tech ecosystem.

Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan also presented the current strategy and opportunities for IT companies, startups, and export-oriented teams, with a focus on international partnerships and projects in North America.

    Key discussion areas included:

    • Development of IT service exports and the formation of international teams
    • Launch of startups targeting the U.S. market
    • Attracting investment and developing venture projects
    • Bringing foreign companies into the IT Park ecosystem

Programs aimed at engaging the diaspora were also introduced. Among them is the Bonus System, which allows participants to help attract foreign companies to IT Park Uzbekistan and receive rewards. Another initiative, Uzbekistan Connect, focuses on building a network of tech ambassadors to strengthen international ties and support startups.

The discussions also covered engaging students and young professionals, launching educational and research partnerships, internships, and promoting IT products in global markets.

Following the visit, the parties agreed to further develop cooperation, including launching joint initiatives in investment, education, and startup support. According to IT Park Uzbekistan, the growing interest from international companies and investors opens up new opportunities for integrating the country into the global tech ecosystem.

The delegation will continue its visit with participation in upcoming events in Boston.
