IT Park Expands Collaboration with South Korean Companies

As part of the business visit to the Republic of Korea, a delegation from IT Park Uzbekistan, led by the Business Development Director, Jakhongir Radjabov, conducted a series of high-level meetings with South Korean partners aimed at strengthening international cooperation and expanding outsourcing capabilities between Uzbekistan and South Korea.

    Seongnam Technopark

The IT Park team held discussions with representatives of Seongnam Technopark, during which IT Park extended its gratitude for the assistance provided within Pangyo Valley, known as the “Korean Silicon Valley”. Seongnam Technopark has supported the organization of tours for IT Park members and expressed its willingness to facilitate meetings with prominent companies, such as Naver. Furthermore, Technopark representatives proposed to provide an exhibition stand at the Indie Craft K-Game Festival at a preferential rate should IT Park express interest in participating.

Seongnam Technopark stands as one of the largest technology parks in South Korea, encompassing an area of over 661,000 square meters and fostering innovation in the Pangyo region and in promoting international collaborations. More than 1,300 member companies in Pangyo Technopark collectively generate revenue exceeding $58 billion.

Meeting Held with E8ight and KOIIA

E8ight presented its plan for the implementation of an AI-based floor management system, which has been approved for pilot testing on a IT Park floor during ICT Week.

Representatives from KOIIA outlined a roadmap for establishing an outsourcing (ITO) hub in Uzbekistan, aimed at executing IT projects for South Korean enterprises. The parties addressed the shortage of IT specialists in Korea and explored the favorable conditions for project deployment in Uzbekistan, thereby providing significant prospects for joint initiatives.

E8ight, a South Korean IT company, has developed an advanced simulation-based digital twin platform. Engaged in R&D with top Korean specialists, the company strives to emerge as a trusted partner across various sectors requiring digital twin solutions, including smart cities, water resource management, aerospace, biomedicine, and smart manufacturing.

KOIIA is a organization that brings together South Korea’s leading IT companies and facilitates the development of international collaboration.

    NHN Corporation

Another notable meeting took place with NHN Corporation, a subsidiary of Naver Group, within the framework of the UOC conference. NHN Corporation, a key player in cloud solutions, expressed interest in establishing a data center in Uzbekistan. Representatives from NHN conveyed enthusiasm regarding the potential collaboration and requested further insights into Uzbekistan's market from IT Park.

NHN Corporation is a distinguished leader in cloud technology, with offices in Japan, actively growing its infrastructure and planning to expand into foreign.

IT Park Uzbekistan remains committed to fostering global partnerships, creating conducive conditions for attracting investment, and advancing technological development. The meetings held in Seoul contribute to the enhancement of outsourcing capabilities and solidify Uzbekistan’s status as an appealing IT hub for international cooperation.
