Berlitz and IT Park discuss cooperation in language training for specialists

IT Park Uzbekistan hosted a meeting between Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park, and Fortune Joy F. de Lara, CEO of Berlitz Philippines and Berlitz Uzbekistan. The meeting was also attended by Makhliyo Muksinova, Services Export Development Director at IT Park, along with other representatives from both organizations.

Berlitz Corporation is a global leader in language and cultural training with over 145 years of experience. Operating in 70 countries, the company offers instruction in more than 50 languages using the proven Berlitz Method — an immersive, communicative approach that enables learners to start speaking a new language from the very first lesson. Berlitz has extensive expertise in preparing professionals for specialized industries, including the outsourcing sector, as well as the medical and corporate fields. The training is designed to enhance not only language proficiency, but also intercultural competence, essential for success in an international work environment.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation in language training, particularly to support the rapidly growing business process outsourcing (BPO) sector. Berlitz representatives highlighted the company's significant experience working with large outsourcing-focused clients such as Accenture, along with over 100 other companies in the Philippines. This expertise is planned to be adapted for the Uzbek market.

Since 2022, Berlitz Uzbekistan has been successfully providing German language training: 1,000 nurses have been trained from beginner level to B2, half of whom are already employed in medical institutions in Germany. Additionally, Berlitz has launched a partnership with the British Council on IELTS certification, expanding access to English language instruction.

“Our goal is to create the necessary conditions for young professionals to remain and develop in Uzbekistan, while earning incomes on par with international standards. Cooperation with partners like Berlitz opens new avenues for training a workforce that is in high demand in the outsourcing industry,” emphasized Abdulakhad Kuchkarov.

“Establishing language academies in Uzbekistan holds particular significance. As the country continues to rapidly develop and the government prioritizes investment in human capital, such initiatives make a valuable contribution to the future of youth. The demand for professionals with foreign language proficiency — especially in German, Japanese, Korean, and Arabic — continues to grow, and the development of such educational platforms expands career prospects for the next generation,” added Makhliyo Muksinova.

“We understand the specifics of the outsourcing sector and how to train specialists who meet global industry standards. Our methodology has proven effective in the Philippines, where over 100 companies — including Accenture, our partner of more than 15 years — have become our clients. We are ready to offer Uzbekistan the same level of quality and a flexible approach tailored to local needs,” noted Fortune Joy F. de Lara.

Major outsourcing companies are increasingly interested in entering the Central Asian market and require a stable supply of qualified professionals. IT Park stands ready to create the necessary conditions to enable local youth to pursue meaningful careers without leaving the country.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to continue discussions and outlined plans to launch new B1–C1 level training programs, as well as to expand their partner network.

IT Park Uzbekistan remains committed to supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing the country's export capabilities and creating quality opportunities for young specialists within Uzbekistan.
