Regional Digital Global Bridge: Korean companies seek partners in Uzbekistan

The Tashkent branch of IT Park Uzbekistan hosted the B2B forum "Regional Digital Global Bridge: Connecting Uzbekistan and Korea", featuring the participation of 11 South Korean technology companies. The event was organized with the support of the National IT Industry Promotion Agency of the Republic of Korea (NIPA) and the Korea ICT Promotion Association. On behalf of IT Park, Makhliyo Muksinova, Services Export Development Director, welcomed the participants. During the forum, representatives of Korean companies held individual business meetings with members of IT Park Uzbekistan to explore prospects for joint projects in outsourcing, technology exchange, and international market expansion.

Ms. Muksinova also held a separate meeting with delegates from the 11 Korean companies to discuss concrete areas for potential collaboration — ranging from outsourcing and digital solution deployment to joint educational programs and startup development. The Korean side expressed strong interest in establishing long-term partnerships and commended the high qualifications of Uzbek IT professionals.

Addressing the forum participants, Ms. Muksinova wished them productive discussions and underscored the importance of international cooperation in the field of outsourcing. She emphasized Uzbekistan’s favorable conditions for IT business development, including government support measures for foreign investors and partners:

"We have developed strong ties with Korea, including longstanding cooperation with KOICA, joint educational initiatives, and talent exchange programs. We continue to observe sustained interest from Korean companies in Uzbek talent, and remain fully committed to assisting them in identifying reliable partners and successfully integrating into the regional market. IT Park Uzbekistan offers access to a robust pool of multilingual IT specialists, making the country an attractive partner for global companies."

Eleven South Korean companies presented their solutions across various sectors. Austin Kang of Brainworks showcased developments in artificial intelligence and big data processing. San Hyun Kim of iWorks spoke about logistics solutions and port automation. Chang Hoon Kwon of SaferZone and Sang Min Lee of SecuLayer shared expertise in cybersecurity. Sang Kyun Park of Eficar introduced automotive technologies, including smart vehicle systems.

Simpson Kim of Sphere AX presented video surveillance and data analytics platforms. Yeon Jin Park of Jinosys highlighted industrial safety solutions. Yoo Sik Shin of Tabs Company discussed blockchain technologies and cold chain logistics. Byun Ho Yoon of TechPLEX presented integrated IoT solutions, while Kyung Joo Kwon of GF and Eun Ji Noh of Letsfarm showcased agri-tech innovations, including precision farming systems. Min Ho Baek of Airsound demonstrated speech recognition technologies and their cross-industry applications.

During the B2B sessions, Korean companies presented their technological solutions and held detailed discussions with IT Park Uzbekistan members regarding potential collaboration in cybersecurity, agri-tech, logistics, industrial automation, and digital services. Participants also explored the adaptability of Korean technologies to local market conditions and discussed integration into the IT Park ecosystem.

The Korean delegation expressed particular interest in the advantages offered by IT Park Uzbekistan, including tax incentives, access to a growing pool of skilled professionals, and support for export activities. They also voiced interest in supporting the development of Uzbekistan’s startup ecosystem and in engaging with local universities to enhance IT education.

IT Park Uzbekistan continues to strengthen international cooperation, establishing a platform for knowledge exchange, the adoption of cutting-edge solutions, and supporting the global expansion of Uzbek IT companies. The forum with Korean companies marked another important step in positioning Uzbekistan as a regional technology hub.
