Farkhod Makhmudov

Farkhod Makhmudov was born on January 2, 1981, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He graduated from the Tashkent Financial Institute with a degree in Banking and began his career in the financial sector. He subsequently expanded his professional experience by working in construction, agribusiness, and FMCG distribution, which allowed him to gain cross-sector expertise and a deep understanding of managing various types of businesses.

In 2016, Farkhod founded OSON, the first electronic money system in Uzbekistan. Over time, the project grew into an international fintech ecosystem, uniting several areas: the OSON Wallet e-wallet, the OsonX crypto wallet with the ability to store balances in USD, the Oson eSIM digital communication system, and the Oson Business B2B platform (Oson Kassa, Oson Terminals, Oson Transfer, Oson Games, Bill Payments, etc.). Under his leadership, OSON has expanded internationally, opening offices in Kazakhstan, the UAE, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan and preparing for further global expansion and attracting international investment.

Farkhod Makhmudov is known as an entrepreneur and investor promoting the development of fintech, digital services, and technologies in Central Asia. He is actively involved in creating the regional ecosystem, advocating for strengthening the region's technological competitiveness, and supporting socially significant projects. His initiatives include education programs, support for women entrepreneurs (AWE 3.0), and digital skills development for young people. Today, the OSON team comprises over 150 employees, and the ecosystem serves over 2.5 million users.
