At the panel session “Leading in the Age of AI: Strategy and Innovation” held in Tashkent, a significant announcement was made. Marina Zhunich, Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy at Google Cloud, announced that the Google Gemini platform now officially supports the Uzbek language.
This development represents an important milestone in advancing digital technologies and the AI ecosystem in Uzbekistan, enabling local specialists, entrepreneurs, and the general public to access modern AI solutions in their native language.
Ruslan Salakhutdinov highlighted the latest scientific findings in AI research, emphasizing that ensuring model efficiency and adherence to ethical principles is one of today’s most critical priorities. H.E. Khalfan Belhoul underscored that artificial intelligence stands at the core of Dubai’s innovation agenda, fundamentally transforming city management, transportation, healthcare, and security systems. Google Cloud representative Marina Zhunich shared her experience in state policy and technology integration, outlining global practices on AI governance in the public sector, risk mitigation, and safeguarding digital sovereignty.
The discussion also gave particular attention to Uzbekistan’s achievements in digital transformation and the extensive efforts underway to develop a robust national AI ecosystem.
